Romantic Satanism was an artistic and political movement that had its roots in the epic poem Paradise Lost by John Milton and which featured/inspired  writers, artists and political thinkers such as William Blake, Mary Wollstonecraft, William Godwin, Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, George Sand, Pierre-Jospeh Proudhon, Mikhail Bakunin and many others.
